Questions, bugs or feedback? Email support@syntaxcircus.com. It helps to include your phone model, your OS version, the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and what you were doing when the problem happened. We read every message.
The flashlight LED doesn't turn on
- Make sure you allowed camera access when asked. Epic Torch uses it only to control the flash LED, never to take photos. You can change this in your phone's Settings under Epic Torch.
- Close other apps that may be using the flash or camera, such as the camera app or another flashlight.
- Some phones and iPads have no flash LED. The on-screen flame still works.
- If the phone is very hot or the battery is very low, the system may refuse to turn on the LED.
- Send the app to the background and come back. After that, tap the torch to relight it.
The torch is dark when I open the app
If the app was interrupted (a call, another app, locking the screen), the torch may open dimmed with "Tap to ignite". Tap the screen to light it again.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open the torch collection by swiping up from the bottom of the main screen, then tap Restore at the top of the drawer. Use the same Apple or Google account you bought with. If it doesn't work, check that you're online and email us.
My preview ended
Premium torches have a 15-second free preview. The countdown pauses while the collection drawer is open or the app is in the background. When it ends, the torch locks until you purchase it. Classic is always free.
There's no sound
Epic Torch follows your phone's sound settings. On iPhone, check that the silent switch is off and turn up the volume. On Android, raise the media volume.
Shake and tilt
Shaking the phone triggers effects on the torches that support them, and tilting bends the flame. If nothing happens, the phone's motion sensors may be unavailable or blocked by a system setting.
Supported devices
- iPhone with iOS 15 or later
- Android phones with Android 7.0 (API 24) or later
- Epic Torch runs in portrait orientation only
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refund requests go through them: Apple or Google Play.
